  (Research):Obituary -- Frances Imadale Embry, 86, of Fayetteville, died Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Fayetteville City Hospital. She was born October 13, 1923 at Witcherville, Sebastian County, Arkansas, the daughter of Thelston Ambers and Willie Mae Cowan Cross. She married Delmar Ray Embry December 20, 1947, who preceded her in death June 14, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Norma Martin, Norine Dewberry, Lorah Witcher and two brothers, Darrell Cross and Harrell Cross. Frances was a military wife who for 24 years joined her husband, a career Army man, at various stations in the United States, France and Germany. She and her husband moved to Northwest Arkansas after his retirement and lived in Fayetteville and Farmington. She is survived by: A son, Phillip Ray Embry of Fayetteville; a daughter, Shirley Ann Neese and son-in-law Franklin Roy Neese of Sierra Vista, Arizona; two grandsons, Johnny Ray Neese and David Blaine Neese both of Sierra Vista, Arizona; one granddaughter, Tracey Lea Neese of Hereford, Arizona; one great-granddaughter, Kelsey Anne Neese of Sierra Vista, Arizona; two great-grandsons, Tyler James Neese and Jordan Taylor Neese both of Sierra Vista, Arizona, and several nieces and nephews.
