  (Research):Daily Post-Athenian Mrs. Lillian Slack Mrs. Lillian Frances Barnett Slack, 87, of 421 Walker Street, Athens, died Monday night in a local hospital following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Slack was a lifelong resident of McMinn County, and was a member of the East Athens Baptist Church. Mrs. Slack was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Slack, July 10, 1965. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Spence (Aileen) Bishop of Athens; one granddaughter, Mrs. Bill (Carolyn) Woody of Ten Mile; one grandson, Kevin Lynn Bishop of Athens; one sister, Mrs. Grace V. Harrill of Athens. FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Peek officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. The body is in state at the Smith Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7 to 9 p.m.
